Your plants are not all that decorate your garden. Structures, statuary,
fountains and other décor are important elements.
Arbors and trellises are used in many ways. A trellis with a vine weaving through it can soften large walls, and give height in areas where taller plants aren't appropriate. An arbor is often used to denote a garden entrance, or a larger one can create a garden 'room'. Vines on arbors can provide shade and softness and even fragrance to surround you, depending on the vine that is used.
Statuary and garden ornaments can be either focal points or can be tucked away to create a 'surprise', as you wander through a garden landscape. Whether classical or whimsical, they can add a lot to your enjoyment of the garden.
Fountains can be grand or subtle. They add movement and sound to an area. Whether you like a large pond and waterfall for a natural look, a grand, classical fountain for a formal front landscape, or a simple pot that overflows gently, it can be the crowning feature in the landscape.
