Mike Hayes, President & Designer

Mike first moved to Franklin, TN in June of 1981, after graduating from the University of Tennessee with a Bachelors degree in Ornamental Horticulture and Landscape Design. The first years of Mike's landscaping career in Franklin were spent working with a local Landscape Architect.

In 1986, he decided to open Mike Hayes and Associates. Determined to be the best in the industry, Mike studied more, traveled abroad to study the gardens of Europe, sought the council of more experienced landscapers, joined the Association of Professional Landscape Designers, worked on historic projects in Franklin, and worked long hours for years to build the business.

Mike has been blessed by God, his employees, and the people of Middle Tennessee to be able to grow his business in the Franklin area to the point of where it is today. His goal is to continue to serve this community in providing the best, most unique landscape product possible.

Nancy Paini, Designer

Nancy moved to Tennessee from Syracuse, NY in 1994. She then worked for seven years at a local wholesale nursery, where she gained vast knowledge of the plant materials primarily used in Middle Tennessee. In February of 2002, Nancy joined Mike Hayes and Associates as the Garden Center Manager. She is now part of the the landscape design team, creating designs for our customers who come to MHA wanting their own unique landscape.

Tommy Mathis, General Manager

Tommy joined Mike Hayes and Associates in February of 2006. He has previous sales, customer service and nursery production experience working as a nursery fertilizer sales representative and as a wholesale nursery sales and production manager.

He will focus on building strong internal teams that strive to be the best and exceed customer's expectations. Tommy was born and raised in Middle Tennessee, where he lives with his family.

Glenda Weatherly, Oper. Coordinator

Glenda was hired in August of 2004, as the Garden Center Manager. She oversaw the entire garden center and its staff. Glenda now works with the design team scheduling designs and installations.

She is a native Tennessean, living in Middle Tennessee most of her life. Her management experience and organizational skills are an asset to our company.

Andrea Batts, Office Administrator

Andrea joined Mike Hayes and Associates in April of 2002. She has brought with her several years of extensive accounting knowledge, office administration, and computer skills. Although Andrea's primary responsibilities are "behind-the-scenes", she plays an integral part in maintaining all of our bookkeeping needs, providing technical support within our office, and managing the employee benefits.

Andrea has lived in Middle Tennessee since June of 1987, when she moved here from Idaho.
